Elizabeth (Etheredge) Stroman

Mrs. Elizabeth “Bert” Etheredge Stroman, 97, daughter of the late Joe Douglas Etheredge and the late Francis Perry, was born January 20, 1922 in Saluda County, South Carolina.  On Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Aiken, South Carolina, she answered the call and left this earthly life.  She was married to the late Howard “Tim” Stroman.

Mrs. Bert was educated in the public schools of Saluda County, South Carolina.  She was a member of Chinquapin Baptist Church, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina.  She was a faithful member, serving on the Senior Choir and the Kitchen Committee.

Mrs. Bert was preceded in death by both parents and her husband; two daughters, Diane Tolen and Rosa Mae Brown; and one son, Johnathan Stroman.

Those left to cherish her precious memories and celebrate her life include:  three sons – Howard Stroman, Joe (Mary Joyce) Stroman and Irodell Stroman, all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; one daughter – Linda Sue Johnson of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; two sisters – Ollie Putman of Ward, South Carolina and Francis E. Thomas of Bamberg, South Carolina; one great-uncle – James D. Carter of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss her dearly.
