Mrs. Ella Mae H. Coleman, 92, was the daughter of the late Richard and Lucretia Holloway. She was born July 26, 1926 in McCormick, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina.
Mrs. Coleman was educated in the public schools of South Carolina and received her high school diploma. She was married to the late Perry James Coleman.
Mrs. Coleman was employed by Rikard’s Nursing Home as a CNA for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sons, Willie J. and Robert J. Coleman; daughters, Julia M. Norris and Ella Ree Coleman and a grandson, Sgt. Larry Lydell Coleman.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include: three daughters – Willie Mae Coleman, Lugenia Coleman and Dorothy (Darron) Pace, all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; five sons – Eddie (Belinda) Coleman and Joseph (Audrey) Coleman, both of Johnston, South Carolina, Kennie Coleman of West Columbia, David James Coleman and Ernest (April) Coleman, both of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; three grandsons raised in the home – Lamar, Trey and Brandon Coleman; also raised in the home – Carroll Hoover of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; two brothers – Eddie Holloway of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and Dorothy Holloway of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters – Katie Young of Brooklyn, New York and Julie Hoyt of Hartford, Connecticut; special thanks to her care-giver, Amandia Johnson from Caring Hands Home Health Care; fifty-two grandchildren, one hundred thirty-two great-grandchildren, a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
