Juanita Nicole Newell

Juanita Nicole Newell was born August 1, 1979 to Beverlyjean and Daniel Newell, Jr. in Queens, New York.  She spent most of her adult life in South Carolina.  Juanita was the second youngest of 6 siblings and was always available to help her brother and sisters.  Juanita had a caring and kind spirit and always enjoyed helping people.  She was a home attendant for many years and all her patients loved her.  She also took daily care of her parents and cook all her father’s favorite dishes.  Juanita graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School.  She received her Associate, Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in Health Administration.  She made the Dean’s list this year for her Masters.  Juanita loved to travel and cook and would spend many hours watching the Food Channel Network and then she would try to make the dish herself.  Juanita loved her family dearly and had so much joy at family dinners and hanging out with her cousins.  Juanita was a dreamer and full of enthusiasm about life.  She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church and sang on the mass choir.  Juanita loved her Pastor and 1st Lady who she often called mom and dad.

Juanita leaves to cherish her memories:  her parents – Beverlyjean and Daniel Newell, Jr. of the home; four sisters – Linda Ward and Tina Gaillard, both of South Carolina, Marjorie Newell-(Sherrie) Galloway of Georgia and Joy Newell of Florida; one brother –  Michael Scott (Cherie) Newell of Maryland; her grandfather – Daniel Newell, Sr. of South Carolina; close friend – Reverend Geraldine Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
