Linda (Perry) Dawkins

Linda P. Dawkins, age 71 resided in West Columbia, South Carolina; where she departed this earthly realm on January 29, 2019. She was a child of God, with a zest for life, and an infectious smile, as she touched many lives.

Linda was educated at Twin City High School and a member of the Class of 1965. She worked as a devoted employee of Park Street Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina from which she later retired. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lloyd Adams Dawkins; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Eddie & Margaret Gieger; her foster mother, Ms. Bessie Caughman Cannon; foster brothers, Mr. Henry Cannon, Sr., Mr. James C. Cannon, Sr. and Mr. Bobby "BJ" Hendley, Sr.  

Here to cherish her memories: sisters - Ms. Hazel Smith of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Ms. Oree Coleman of Rochester, New York, Ms. Vivian and Ms. Priscella Robinson of Charlotte, North Carolina; brothers - Mr. Vander Robinson, Mr. George Robinson and Mr. Rocky Lee Robinson all of Columbia, South Carolina; sisters-in-law - Mrs. Sarah Mae Gilree-Cannon, Mrs. Ruth Cannon, and Mrs. Cleo Johnson Hendley all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many others who knew and loved her.
