Roseita (Morris) Perry

Mrs. Roseita Morris Perry, 57, daughter of the late Rosetta Morris and Will Robinson, was born September 29, 1960 in Newberry County.  She departed this earthly life on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Aiken Regional Hospital, Aiken, South Carolina.  She was married to the late Melvin M. Perry.

Mrs. Perry was a graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School, Class of 1979.  At an early age, she joined Olive Branch Baptist Church, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina.

Roseita was the aunt that took anyone’s children and loved them as her own.  She was preceded in death by both her parents, one daughter, Trish L. Morris; one brother, Thomas Morris; two sisters, Deloris and Annetta; one niece, Deloris Irene and one granddaughter, Eboney.

Those left to cherish her precious memories include:  children – Lotaji Coleman of the home, Sharlesia Golson of Lexington, South Carolina; a stepdaughter – Cassandra (Calvin) Harris of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; God-children – Gresham Cannon, Mirsa Cannon, Charles Ann Ruth, Ty’mar Staley, Amanda D. Cannon and Quatickia Morris, all of South Carolina; one granddaughter – Latonya Harris; sisters left behind to cherish her memories – Shirley Cannon of Lexington, South Carolina, Geraldine Staley of Johnston, South Carolina, Margaretta Hill of Gilbert, South Carolina and Betty Sue Hill of Columbia, South Carolina; brothers - Reverend Joseph (Viola) Morris of Columbia, South Carolina and Freddie Morris of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Sam Brunson of Lexington, South Carolina and Rodney Hill of  South Carolina; sisters-in-law – Henrietta Robinson of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Tina Stevenson of New York, Nancy (Clarence) Spring of Lexington, South Carolina, Geneva (Frank) Highley of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Myrtis Mason of Johnston, South Carolina, Dorothy (Eddie) Patterson of Fairfax, South Carolina, Freda Ann Gantt and Birdell Perry, both of Saluda, South Carolina, Betty Goode Perry of Johnston, South Carolina; one brother-in-law – Larry Holloway of Saluda; a host of nieces, nephews and numerous other God-children to cherish her memories.
