Shelby Nicole Still

Ms. Shelby Nicole Still, 47, daughter of Lula Tolen and Dave Tolen, was born August 4, 1970 in Washington, DC.  On Sunday, June 3, 2018, she was granted her wings and departed this earthly life at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

Ms. Still was educated in the public schools of Lexington County School District 3, graduating from Batesburg-Leesville High School.  She then attended Piedmont Technical College, Newberry, South Carolina earning an Associate Degree.  She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Gospel Choir.  Although she was not a member of the Usher Board or the Kitchen Committee, she helped on both.  She was always helping out in the church anyway she could whenever she could.

Shelby leaves to cherish her precious memories:  four loving daughters – Ashlee Long (Ivey) Meggett of Chapin, South Carolina, Ayesha Long and Jada Still, both of Charlotte, North Carolina and Nicolette Still of Newberry, South Carolina; one son – William Still of Edgefield, South Carolina; one granddaughter – Jaemera Tucker; one grandson – Geno Meggett; a loving and devoted friend – Frank Johnson; a loving mother – Lula Tolen of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; her father – Dave Tolen of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister – Angela P. (Juan) Ward of Hopkins, South Carolina; one brother – Charles (Kashawnna) Pittman of Columbia, South Carolina; four aunts – Rosa (Terry) Holland of Washington, DC, Bertha Johnson of Fort Washington, Maryland, Rosa (Theodore) Smith of Bryans Road, Maryland; her beloved fur baby – “Princess”; six nephews and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
