Sunnie Jackson Obituary

Sunnie B. Jackson, 69, son of the late James Jackson, Sr. and the late Ella Mae Jackson, was born March 30, 1950 in Saluda County, South Carolina.  He departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Carlyle Senior Care of Aiken, South Carolina.

Sunnie was educated in the public schools of Lexington County, graduating from Twin City High School, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina.  He joined Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age.  He was last employed by Fuji in Greenwood, South Carolina.  He loved fishing in his spare time before his health started to decline.  His favorite NFL team was those “Greenbay Packers”!!!

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, one son, Richard “Lil Bit” Jackson; three brothers, James Jackson, Jr., Johnny Jackson and Cleveland Jackson.

those left to cherish his memories include:  three daughters - Ella Priscilla Jackson, Genie Clark of West Columbia, South Carolina and Rose Marie Jackson of Virginia; two sons - Sonny Clark, Jr. of West Columbia, South Carolina and J.T. Quarles of South Carolina; three sisters - Dorothy Jackson and Peggy Jackson, both of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and Barbara Simpkins of Aiken, South Carolina; two daughters-in-law - Thelma Clark of West Columbia, South Carolina and Lakin Quarles of South Carolina; one sister-in-law - Frances Jackson; one God-son - Raregous Tyon Harris of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
