Ina (Tolen) Simpkins

Ina Tolen Simpkins, 65, was born on May 12, 1954 in Lexington County, SC to the late Washington Price Tolen and the late Rosa Bell Jones Tolen.  She departed this life peacefully on the morning of December 25, 2019 at her residence.

She was educated in the Lexington County School District 3 at Twin City High School, Batesburg, SC.  At an early age, she joined Wesley Chapel CME Church.  She worked at Shaw Textile Mill until her retirement.

Ina was surrounded and supported by her loving husband, children and family during the last days of her life.  She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Willie Simpkins of Leesville, SC; three children:  Tina Tolen-Harbert of Atlanta, GA, Patrina Tolen of Columbia, SC and Nakia S. Tolen of Columbia, SC; five grandchildren:  Undrez Harbert, Nkosi Harbert, Damani Staley, Dania Staley and Davin Staley; four sisters:  Lillie Tolen, Annette (Randolph) Brown and Carrie Tolen, all of Leesville, SC and Mabel (Willie Cal) Holston of Ridge Spring, SC; one brother:  Dave Tolen of Columbia, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
