Kenian Hausan Obituary

Mr. Kenian Derek Hausan, son of Lillie P. Hausan and the late Kenian R. Hausan, was born October 26, 1974 in New York City, New York.  He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at his home in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

As a child, Kenian attended P.S. 100 Isaac Clason in Bronx, New York and I.S. 131 Albert Einstein.  He received his diploma in 1992 from Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Bronx, New York.  Kenian accepted Christ in his life at an early age.  He joined Brooklyn Tabernacle of Deliverance where he was baptized.  He always had a passion for praying for others.  He loved the latest name brand fashion and unique, different styles of clothing.  He was an avid video and arcade game player. 

Kenian loved computers and technology.  After graduating high school, he began working at Bell Atlantic, now known as Verizon, as a telephone installer.  He moved to North Carolina between 2008 and 2010 where he received a heart transplant in 2020.  Before he became ill, he was taking online classes at the University of Phoenix, receiving an Associates degree and started taking additional online classes in business management at the University of Phoenix.

Kenny’s most recent employment was with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  He was employed there until his health began to decline.

Those left to cherish his precious memories and celebrate his life include:  his loving mother, Lillie P. Hausan of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; two daughters, Ayla Hausan and Raven Simmons; one sister, Kendra Hausan of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; four aunts, Ruth (Jonah) Tolen of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, Elder Bertha Gray of Lexington, South Carolina, Maria (Floyd) Wallace of Highland, California and Ramona (Lenwood) Hall of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania; a special friend, Tori Henderson of Stanley, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
