Patricia (Quattlebaum) West

Patricia Quattlebaum West, 58, daughter of Ms. Linda Jay and the late Mr. Jesse Jay, was born December 22, 1965 in Aiken County, South Carolina.  She departed this earthly life on Friday, January 19, 2024 at her home in Lexington, South Carolina.

She was married to Major Lee West and together they had three children, Katara Leaphart, Major Quattlebaum and Justin Quattlebaum.

Patricia was educated in the public schools of Lexington County, South Carolina, graduating from Batesburg-Leesville High School, Class of 1984.

She was preceded in death by her father and her grandson, Amari Khalil Quattlebaum.

Those left to cherish her memories include:  her devoted husband, Major Lee West of the home; one loving daughter, Katara (Gregory) Leaphart of Lexington, South Carolina; two sons, Major Quattlebaum of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and Justin Quattlebaum of Columbia, South Carolina; five sisters, Victoria Hill of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Beverly Jay of Gilbert, South Carolina, Angela (Walter) Morris of Ridge Spring, South Carolina, Tonya (Kenneth) Hill of Seattle, Washington and Shirnika Jay of Gilbert, South Carolina; one brother, Damon Jay of Gilbert, South Carolina; four brothers-in-law, Sylvester (Sateria) West, Larry (Louise) West, Melvin West, all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and Joseph (Noreen) West of Columbia, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Sylvia Hair of Columbia, South Carolina; nine grandchildren; three stepchildren, Rondy (Jordana) Harris, Senta Sutton and April Long; a host of step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
