Mrs. Patsy Harris Suber was born March 15, 1942 in Lexington, South Carolina to the late Cora Quattlebaum Mitchell. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Lexington, South Carolina.
Mrs. Suber was first married to the late Lucius Harris, Jr. and to this union, six children were born. Later in life, she married her “soul mate,” the late Johnnie F. Suber.
Mrs. Suber was a member of Mount Olive CME Church in Lexington, South Carolina. She was a faithful member until her health began to decline. The dedicated church members continued to help with her meals and grocery shopping until her death. Mrs. Suber was employed as a domestic worker for a brief period and a full time homemaker. She loved her family, especially the grandchildren. Likewise, she loved “talking junk” and making you laugh.
Mrs. Suber had two sons to precede her in death, Anthony Harris and Alfonzo Harris.
Those left to celebrate her life and cherish her precious memories include: four sons – Daviel Harris of the home, Lucius Harris, III of Bamberg, South Carolina, Jarome (Sharon) Harris of Charlotte, North Carolina and Tony Suber of Lexington, South Carolina; one daughter – Rosa Harris Brown of Gadsden, South Carolina; two daughters-in-love – Sharon Jackson-Harris and Forgenna Isreal-Harris; nine grandchildren – Shamika (Quantavious) Harris of Greenwood, South Carolina, Jarome Harris, Jr. of Lexington, South Carolina, Arsyndrea Harris of Atlanta, Georgia, Sheterika Harris, Nelson Jackson and Jamal Jackson, all of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rickey Isreal, Tadameka Isreal and KiJana Strother, all of Lexington, South Carolina; fifteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends and church family who will miss her dearly.
