Ruby Mae Adams

Ruby M.  Adams, 78, daughter of the late Sam and Essie Maddox, was born March 4, 1942.  After a lengthy illness, God called her home on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Ruby was educated at Twin City High School.

At an early age, she joined the Olive Branch Baptist Church.  She taught Sunday School for many years.  She was employed with the Batesburg-Leesville District Three for many, many years where she retired.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Adams and her parents.  She leaves to cherish her memory:  daughter, Mitchlene Padgett; two grandchildren, Alex Padgett and Severia Padgett; one sister, Dorothy Hendrix, all of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; two brothers, Rev. Sammie (Marion) Maddox of Camden, South Carolina and James Frank (Juanita) Maddox of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
