Vera Mae Gary

Vera Mae Gary, daughter of the late John and Alvina Rauch was born on May 28, 1940, in Saluda S.C., and was called home on October 19, 2022 from Senior Care.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ben Rauch, Leonard Rauch, Charlie Rauch, James Rauch and sisters, Neat Rauch and Mammie Rauch.  She was married to the love of her earthly life, Lejay Gary, for fifty-four years.  Vera was educated in Saluda County.  She was a faithful member of the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church until her health started to decline.  She worked at Walter P. Rawls for twenty-five years and attended Senior Care for years.

Left to cherish her precious memories include:  husband, Lejay Gary of Gilbert S.C.; son, Lavon (Annie) Gary of Gilbert S.C.; brothers, Curtis Rauch of Virginia; sister, Carrie Brooks of New York; grandchildren, Bianca (Marcus) Erving and Kendra Gary, both of Lexington S.C. and Landis Gary of Gilbert S.C. and the host of nieces and nephews.
