Wane Calvin Hill

Mr. Wane Calvin Hill was called home to be with his heavenly father on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina. At an early age, he joined Saint Mark Missionary Baptist Church.  A graduate of Twin City High School, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, he was employed by Smokey Valley, Jackie Hite BBQ, both of Batesburg-Leesville, and Amick Farms of Saluda, South Carolina.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Carl Summers, Johnny Summers and Larry Summers; one sister, Mary Hill Glover and one brother-in-law, Powell Landy, Jr.

Wane leaves to cherish his memories:  one daughter – Annetta Hill of Lexington, South Carolina; two sisters – Jet (Ronnie) Simpkins of Edgefield, South Carolina and Elma Landy of Monetta, South Carolina; one brother – Thomas Addy, Jr. of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; one brother-in-law - Willie Glover of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; three sisters-in-law – Annette Summers, Lisa Summers, both of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina and Janice Summers of Lexington, South Carolina; one great-aunt – Celia Mae Davenport of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; a special friend – Carrie Tolen of Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina; two grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
