Willie James Marshall

Willie James Marshall was born May 12, 1957 in Saluda County, South Carolina to the late Mrs. Willie Mae Marshall Bing and George Hall. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina.

[Logo, company name Description automatically generated] He was a 1976 graduate of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School.  He was a member of Zion Hopewell Gospel Family Worship Center, Gilbert, South Carolina.  At his time of death, he was employed by Penske Logistic.  He was a truck driver at heart.

He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, James Westley and Louise Marshall Jay; a brother, Leroy Gantt Marshall; a sister, Shirley Ann Marshall Rosales; an adopted brother, William Morris and one of our boys, Marcus ”Rat” Morris.

Those left to cherish his memories are:  his loving and devoted wife – Amy Michelle Marshall of the home; one son – James Rashad Marshall; one granddaughter – Kya Marshall; a mother-in-love – Reverend Mary Frances Gantt; one aunt – Daisy Lee Morris; sisters – Deborah (Richard) Reeves, Stella (Roosevelt) Booth, Laura (Willie) Murray, an adopted sister – Sylvia (Rodney) Morris-Hamilton; brothers – Willie Howard (Patricia) Marshall, Carl (Frances) Bing, Bobby (Faye) Bing and Keith (Linda) Nicholas; sisters-in-law – Meria (Charles) Foster, Marsha Gantt and Elsie Gantt; brothers-in-law – Rodney (Miriam) Gantt and Ronald Gantt; one God-son – Marvin Gantt; the boys he shared with Chelle – Quentin Morris and Oscar Daniels, Jr. and the girls Chelle shared with him – Jaya Gantt and Asia Raiford; a special member of our family – Tavan (April) Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
